TO CLEAN CHAMOIS LEATHER

A DD two tablespoons washing soda to one pint of water. Put soft chamois leather to soak in order to loosen the dirt. Lift out and squeeze in a basin of warm soapsuds until as clean as possible. If still soiled, scrub spots with small brush. Rinse in warm, soft water. I'ress out water and pull chamois into shape. Dry in a cool place. If allowed to dry too quickly it becomes stiff, so rub from time to time as it dries.
