FALSE AGE GIVEN
JUDGE GRANTS PROBATION The name of a young man who appeared in Air Force unifornrivL the Supreme Court dock yesterday for sentence for having made _ a false declaration under tne Marriage Act, 1908, was ordered by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, to be suppressed. The man had declared the aj;e of his intended bride to be 21, whereas, it was 19$. "You have been rather silly over this,'" said His Honor, "but fortunately no harm has been done. I think voxi tire a man of good character, and this :is not the kind of offence which should operate in any way to hinder you serving: your country." The man was admitted to probation for sisr months and ordered to pay i^ e costs of the prosecution withm a. tortnighty Mr. Dickson appeared on ma benallr.
