RAILWAY BOMBING
UNLUCKY NON-COMBATANTS VIGOROUS FRENCH PROTEST TOKIO, Feb. 5 The Japanese Foreign Office spokesman to-day said the Japanese bombing of the Hanoi-Kunming railway was a military necessity. If non-combatants were wounded, it was quite unfortunate. The French Government has vigorously protested against the bombing from the air of the French-owned Yunnan railway.
