IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE [BY TELEGRAPH —rRESS association] ASHBURTON, Tuesday While inspecting irrigation and drainage works in the county yestorday, the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, said that farm clearing, irrigation, drainage and river erosion were tho only things his department would now concentrate on. Public works jobs were going to bo reorganised and the existing jobs mentioned would be speeded up if possible.
