WAR CORRESPONDENTS

TWO FROM NEW ZEALAND * GOVERNMENT'S DECISION The New Zealand Government has decided to send two war correspondents overseas with the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force, according to a statement made last night by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones. The Minister said one of the correspondents would travel with the second echelon, and the other with the third. No appointments had yet been made, Mr. Jones added. A large number of applications had been received, and would be considered. Details of conditions of employment, such as whether or not honorary rank would be granted, had yet to bo decided. There was only one official war correspondent with the New Zealand Division in the Great War. He was the late Mr. Malcolm Ross.
