EIGHT WICKETS FOR 23 SHEFFIELD SHIELD GAMES VICTORIA BEGINS WELL (Recoived December 29, 11.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 20 In a Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales to-day Queensland, in its first innings, made 105 (Brown 24). Bowling for New South Wales O'Reilly took eight wickets for 23 runs, six of his victims being bowled. He bowled only 11 overs and had all his victims tied up from the outset. New South Wales, in its first innings, has made 240 for the loss of five wickets (Mudge 79, Barnes not out 78). South Australia is playing Victoria at Melbourne. In its first innings, Victoria has made 289 for tho loss of five wickets (Miller 108, Hassett 92).
