War News Over The Car Radio

The value of car radio was demonstrated to a marked degree in Britain during the early days of the war, and will continue to do so for its duration. Motorists all over the United Kingdom were able to keep in cbnstant touch with official announcements which were broadcast hour bv hour. Many thousands of business people, commercial representatives and others, were thus able to go about their ordinary avocations, and at the same time he an fait with Government pronouncements which were given at regular intervals. It is appreciated that Government announcements are likely to be frequent to members of the fighting forces, defence,, nursing and other services. Consequently, many persons who have to travel by car in the course of their business are equipping their vehicles with radio, or providing themselves with portable sets.
