HAND OF DICTATOR
Sir. —Wake up, New Zealand, before the hand of the dictator takes further control. We, - as free born British people, demand freedom in honest business. We are now practically, if not wholly, under State control. The people of New Zealand will not tolerate Nazi methods. The present Government is not the voice of the people of New Zealand. Is there not some sane, levelheaded men in our midst who can bring Now Zealand out of the chaos tho present Government has plunked it into? The interference with a church broadcast several Sundays ago is proof of what we have to contend with.
Yet this same Government permits a station to operate on Sundays under the guise of religion, which to my mind and no doubt to thousands of others is simply a propaganda station. The spending of £70.000 on a new commercial broadcasting station is not justified at the present time, when the finance of the country is in such a deplorable state, caused by the unwise management of the present Government. British Frkedom.
