INDIAN MAHARAJA
PASSENGER BY MARIPOSA An Indian Prince, ths Maharaja Manikya Bahadur of Tripura, and a party .were passengers who arrived at Auckland by the Mariposa from San Francisco yesterday. He is the absolute ruler of the State of Tripura, in northeast India, its population being abour 500,000 and its status a British protectorate, although it is a part of British India. _ Travelling with the Maharaja on his way back to India are his sister, Yubarnni of Baria, his brother, Prince Dev Varma, a tours- agent, Mr. F, N.
