COMPETITIONS IN PROVINCE [from herald correspondents] Rotorua.—Replacing the percentage fours, which aro usually played at the beginning of the season, the Rotorua Bowling Club started a progressive fours competition on Saturday. Frankton. —The Waikalo Rinks Shield was won by CJaudelands at Frankton on Saturday m'a match with Hamilton, after an extra head had been played. The game was the final for tho 1038-30 season. Claudelands also won the Waikato Pairs Shield last season. In Saturday's game, Claudeiands was represented by J. P. Joyce, W. Chegwidden, A. W. Webber nnd W., Frascr, and Hnmilton bv Osborne. Wilson, Ilawken nnd R; N. Pilkingtou. Claudeiands won by 21 points to 18.
