THE AUCKLAND COUNCIL OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR The 18th annual meeting of the Auckland Council of Christian Congregations was held in St. David's Presbyterian Church hall last night. Canon W. E. Lush presiding. •At the end of the meeting Archbishop Averill addressed members upon the urgent need for wider co-operation and fellowship between the Churches. It was reported that the year had ended with a small credit balance. The annual report, setting forth a number of public questions considered by the council and actions taken was adopted. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow:—President: The Per. F. Copeland: vice-presidents, the Pev. A. C. Nelson, Messrs. C. H. Furness and H. H. Driver; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. H. Whit claw; executive. Canon W. W. Averill, Pev.' Dr. IT. Panston. Pev. Dr. J. J. North. Pev. Dr. Alexander Hodge. Brigadier Suter, Pastor J. E.
