AMATEUR ATHLETICS

ELLERSLIE CLUB'S SEASON The report presented at tho annual meeting of the Ellorslie Amateur Athletic Club stated that tho memborship rose during the season from 50 to 138, 01 of which wero active members. Club relay teams captured the Auckland ladies' championship, the 880 yards and one mile senior championships, and the BSO yards junior championship. The most marked feature, however, was the fino spirit which existed among tho athletes. Tho following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr. R. H. Mclsaac; president, Mr. J. J. Wright; honorary secretary, Mrs. A. O. Martin; honorary treasurer, Mr. R. Lett; sports secretary, Mr. G. G. Plant; handi* capper, Mr. J. Nicholson; starter, Mr. C Robson; club captain, Mr. M. C. Baker; auditor, Mr. X. W. Cowan; delegates to the Auckland Centre, Messrs. C. Tilhy, R. Davis and R. Slimmerhays; delegates to the South Suburban Association, Messrs. .T Nicholson and G. G. Plant; club custodian. Mr. J. J. Wright; ladies' club captain, Miss P. McMillan; timekeepers, Messrs. R. Davis. A. Brown, R. Lett; ground officials, Messrs. J. H. V. Carr, L. McCreery, G Thorpe, J. Hcppels and A. Carter; executive, president, secretary, treasurer, sports secretary, club captain and tho three delegates to tho Auckland Centre, Messrs. J. Nicholson, J. H. McManus and O. G. McManus, Misses P. McMillan and A. Carr. ONEHUNGA CLUB Tho Onehunga Amateur Athletic Club held its third weekly sports meeting at Waikaraka Park.
