d'afry farmer fined A dairy farmer, Timothy John Foley, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's 1 Court yesterday to four charges of Belling milk containing water in the percentages of 12, 17, 18 and 23. He ■was represented by Mr. Marshall [White. _ - Evidence was given that samples w.ere taken from four cans of milk on defendant's boundary, awaiting delivery to the city on June 15. Defendant, unable to account for the presence of water in the milk, saiu_ it might have been due to his flushing the milking plant or to some other person putting it in the cans. "."It is a serious matter to find so jnlich; wa£er in milk," said Mr. C. It. Qsr Walker. S.M., referring to defendant's unsatisfactory explanation. He pointed out that only a small percentage of water would be, accounted for by flushing the machines, and said he pouldf only assume that the water w'as added.
