CHARGES OF THEFT ' I ■ Arrested after pawning a gold watch and chain valued at £ls, Harold All ibonc, ship's refrigeration engineer, aged 34 (Mr. Faweett),. admitted a charge of theft, when lie appeared in the Police Court, before Mr. C. R. Orr Walker, S.M., yesterday. "He is not the type of man we want in tliis country,"" said Detective-Sergeant 31cHugh," adding that the watch was stolen from a seaman on another ship when accused's'ship was recently at Lyttclton. Accused was sentenced to a* mouth's imprisonment, and ordered to be placed on his ship before it left Auckland. A charge of stealing a fur necklet valued .-it £4 los was denied by Rita Viola Fish, married, aged 21 (Mr. G. Skclton). She was fined lO.s and ordered to pay expenses, £2 Bs.
