PRIMARY SCHOOL TOURNEY MATCHES AT VICTORIA PARK Although heavy rain made the playing conditions unfavourable, a fair standard of play was witnessed in the Auckland Primary Schools' Soccer tourney, which commenced at Victoria Park yesterday morning. Ten tennis, representing the various suburban and city groups, competed. This tourney is preliminary to the northern section of the North Island tournament for the Fordharii Shield and Balfour Irvine Cup, which will be staged at Ootorua next week. The winning team in both junior and senior sections of tho Auckland tourney, which will be continued to-day and to-morrow, will compete at Rotorua. Following were the results of yesterday's play:—Senior: North Shore, 3, Onehunga, I; Normal, 2, Western Springs, 2; Onehunga, 3, Normal, 2; City, 3, North Shore, 1. Junior: North Shore, 7, Onehunga, 1; Western Springs, I, Normal, 0; North Shore, 5, City. 1; Normal, 11. Onehunga, 0. Tho draw for the games to bo played to-day is as follows: Juniors.—lo a.m.: City v. Normal; One liunga v. Western Springs; North Shore. a bye,-' 1.30 p.m.: Onehunga v. City, North Shore v. Western Springs; Normal, a bye. Seniors. —11 a.m.: City v. Normal: Onehunga v. Western Springs; North Shorn, a bye. 2.30 p.m.: North Shore v. Western Springs; Onehunga v. City; Normal, a bye. COMBINED ELEVEN Prior to tho secondary schools' representatives leaving for (he annual tourney at Wellington, the final trial match against a combined eleven will be played at Blandford Park to-morrow afternoon at 3 p.m. Following is the combined team:—lT.
