REFEREES' ASSOCIATION JUNIOR STANDARD IMPROVES An improvement in the Junior standard of refereeing was reported to the Auckland Rugby Leaguo Referees' Association last evening. Mr. L. E. Bull presided. In response to tho request from the Junior board ii was ruled that in the event of a plaver receiving ambulance attention Tunning onto the field and preventing an opponent from scoring, tho referee was empowered to award a try. , In the course of a general discussion on rules, it was pointed out that, if opposing pla vers attempted to distract the attention of a player taking a nlace-kick at goal another kick could be allowed. , If available, Mr. A.
