WEEKLY GATHERING WELCOME TO VISITORS The speaker at tlio -weekly luncheon of tho Auckland Rotary Club yesterday was tho Hon. W. E. Barnard, Speaker of tho House of Rcpresenta. tives. Tho president, Air. W. E. Lewisham, presided over a good attendance. Mr. Barnard, who is president of tho New Zealand Society for tho Adoption of Chinese Orphans, spoko on "Chinese Refugee Children." Among tho visitors specially welcomed by tho president were Mr. J. Mclntyre, of Sydney, district governor elect of Rotary in that area, and Mr Morton Aldis, chairman of the local committee for tho adoption of Chinese orphans. Visiting Rotarians were: —Messrs. G. W. Rees Jones (Wellington), R. Harris (Hamilton), H. Rislnvorth (Whangarei), J. McChesney (New Jersey), 10. Klondworth (Sydney), A. J. Coleman (Wellington). S. \V. Main (Rotorua), C. R. Hall (Sydney) nni E. C. I'irio (Napier). Other visitors present Voro: —Messrs. T. 13. Fox (Hastings), R. D. Flanagan (Melbourne), J. Hammersloy (Christchurch), 11. G. Fcrranti (Antwerp), T. M. Smallwood (Wellington), F. W. Spry (Melbourne) and G. B. Abel, K. Coo, J. E. Foote, C. Pollard, M. Aldis, C. A. McCombie, C. R. Orr Walker, A. E. Whetten, E. H. Wright and H. McD. Vincent.
