HIGHER TAXATION
NEW SOUTH WALES STATE SYDNEY, Aug. 15 Tlio Premier/of New South Wales, Mr. A. Mnir, said to-day that legislation to provide for increased taxation to compensate for reduced revenue would bo introduced immediately Parliament reassembled next week. "The public will be asked to dip rather deeply into their pockets, but everything possible will be done to distribute the additional taxation over a very wide field," he added.
