MASONIC DANCE
ALBION LODGE MEMBERS ANNUAL LADIES' NIGHT FUNCTION AT NORTH SHORE The annual social evening and ball arranged by members of the Albion Masonic Lodge was held in the Masonic Hall, Bevonport, on Saturday night, when competitions and the distribution of caps and streamers provided additional entertainment for a large number of people. A charming decorative sclicmo in red, blue and green had been carried out under the direction of Mr. L. Hartmann.
The entrance foyer was gay with tinted electric lights, streamers and groups of nikau palm leaves, while in the dance ball a prominent feature was a largo centrepiece of mirror glass suspended from the ceiling and canopied with paper petals of red anc] green. Above the orchestral dais was the word "Albion" in large silver letters, and fringed panels, in red, blue and green, interspersed with medallions of nikau palm leaves, completely covered the walls.
The guests were received by the worshipful master, Mr. R. G. Fowler, and Mrs. Fowler, who wore a frock of midnight blue moire taffetas.
