ONE DISTRICT FAVOURED COUNTY COUNCIL'S PROPOSAL[BY TELEGKAra —OWN CORRESPONDENT] - WHANGAREI, Sunday A decision that tho comity clerk should circularise all county councils in an effort to hare a petition placed before the Government favouring the formation of the four northern hospital districts into one district was made at the monthly meeting of the Bay of Islands County Council. A petition to the Minister of Health, the Hon. P. Fraser, is to be drawn up and circulated for signature.

Tho decision was arrived at after Dr. G. M. Smith, superintendent of the Raweno Hospital, had addressed a meeting at Kaitaia. He put forward the probability of the Government allowing the four northern boards special consideration on account of the (largo Maori population, and 15s a head was suggested as a likely contribution from the Social Security Fund.
