CYCLE STRIKES KERB
RIDER SERIOUSLY HURT Thrown heavily to tho road when a motor-cycle which ho was riding in Orakei Road shortly after noon yesterday skidded down the incline and struck the kerb, Mr. Allan foiox Lees, an apprentice, aged 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lees, of 82 Orakei Road, Remuera, suffered severe head injuries.The motor-cycle had just been paired, and Mr. Lees was giving it a trial run. His injuries inoluded concussion, sovero lacerations to tho head, and* extensive abrasions. He was taken to tho Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance, and his condition last night Was reported to be serious.
