MEETING AT THE DOMAIN The Auckland Amateur Athletic Club held tiie usual weekly events at the Domain oil Saturday afternoon. After the , week's rain the going was very heavy, times being slower all round. The finish of the 5000 yds steeplechase resulted in a duel between D. Martin and R. Henshaw, one of the juniors of the club. The result wa.< in doubt till the last few yards, when Martin won by less than a foot, the clock registering only a-fifth of a second difference in time. Another feature of the afternoon's sport was" the success in the shot-putting contest of the veteran, A. Clark, who attains his OOtli birthday next month.
