WEDDING AT ONEHUNGA

WITHERS—FOOTE BRIDE IN MAGNOLIA SATIN MAIDS WEAR CYCLAMEN FROCKS A wedding of interest' was celebrated in the Onchunga Presbyterian Church 011 Wednesday evening, when Miss Edwina Helen Foote, elder daughter of Mrs. .Foote and the late Mr. C«. E. Foote, of Royal Oak, was married to Mr. Maurice Ktroude Withers, of Auckland. The ceremony was performed by the .Rev. \Y. .). Pel low.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. W. .J. Foote, wore a beautiful frock of deep magnolia satin fashioned on classical lines, the corsage of which was softly gathered into a high waistline, the skirt falling gracefully into a. long oval train. The veil of embroidered tulle to tone was held in place by a halo of orango blossom. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies and maiden-hair fern.

Bride's Attendants In attendance were the bride's sister, Mrs. E. Bellingham, as matron of honour, and Miss Gusta Macky as bridesmaid. Their frocks of cyclamen taffetas were shirred at the neck and sleeves and shirred with deep magenta at the hem of full skirts. On their heads they wore coronets of natural flowers to tone with the bouquets, which were of cyclamen, daphne and maiden-hair fern.

The flower girl, little Helen Bellingham, niece of the bride, wore a long frock of cyclamen taffetas ruched at the neck and hem. She carried a posy to tone.

Mr. John Withers was best man, and Mr. W. Linwood was groomsman. 'Alio ushers were Mr. Finlav Foote and Mr. Gordon Murray. During the ceremony a solo was sung by Miss Patti Schnackenberg. The Reception

The reception was held at the Cornwall Park Kiosk, where the bride's mother, Mrs. Foote, received the guests wearing a graceful lrock ol tuschia silk velvet with lox furs and toque to match. She carried a bouquet of violets, daphne and maiden-hair fern. , She was assisted by the bridegroom's aunt, Mrs. Murray, who wore a frock of black panne velvet, with a small black hat. She carried a bouquet of. autumn-tinted flowers. The bride • travelled in a wincberry velvet frock ■ over which was worn a brown squirrel coat with a pill-box hat and accessories to tone.
