FIRE AT OIL STORE
DAMAGE DONE TO BUILDING NIGHTWATCHMAN'S DISCOVERY [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION"] WELLINGTON, Thursday Seeing flaines issuing from the Vacuum Oil Company's storo in the Hutt Road about 4.'10 o'clock this morning, tho nightwatcliman at the Thorndon tram sheds broke a street alarm. Tlio brigade responded and ran two loads to the fire, which was on the top floor of a two-storey building. Tlio bla/.o was suppressed in about half an hour. The cause of the outbreak is unknown. There was considerable damage done to the building and contents.
