WOMEN'S DIVISION
Pokeno.—The following officers -were elected at the annual meeting:—President, Mrs. Lennan; vice-presidents, Mrs. Dean, Mrs. Gummer and Mrs. O'Leary; secretary, Miss H. McGregor; treasurer, Mrs. Hannah. A points prize for puff pastry was awarded to Mrs. Lennan, and ft competition (best homegrown bloom) was won bv Mrs. Williams, The president, on behalf of the branch, presented a silver cake tray embossed with tho W.D.F.tJ. badge to the retiring secretary, Miss Shirley, who was shortly to bo married. Aitornoon tea was served ' Harrisville—Mrs. W. F. Collins presided at the annual'meeting, at which there was a good attendance of members The report showed that the branch was in a sound • financial position. It was reported that the first of the dressmaking classes in the Isorth Island was held by the branch. The following officers were elected:—President, Mrs. W. F. Collins: vice-presi-dents, Mrs. W. Jubb and Mrs. R. Durrant; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. W Barnabv; delegates Mrs. Collins, Mrs. Barnaby, Mrs. Jubb and Mrs. Durrant. The points prize for the year was won by Airs. Bert Mills. , To Kuiti.—A satisfactory financial position was reported at the annual meeting of the Te Kuitt branch of the Women's Division of tho Farmers Union. The following officers were elected:—President, Mrs. Bernhardt, vice-presidents, Mrs. W. Lee, Mrs. Snowden, Mrs. Marsh, Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Boberts; secretary. Mrs. W. Albrechtsen; treasurer, Miss D. Walker; committee, Mrs. D. Tappin, Mrs. J. Boddie, Mrs. Frampton. Mrs. W. Findlav, Mrs. W. A Lee, Mrs. Olssen, Mrs. Carruthers, Mrs Mchrtens, Mrs. Bain, Mrs. Park, Mrs! A. B. Jordan, Mrs. Duncanson; press correspondent, Mrs. N. B. Lusk. Taupaki. —The following officers were elected at tho annual meeting:— President, Mrs. C. Wright; vice-presi-dents, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. J'. Annandale: secretary, Mrs. L. Shaw; treasurer, Mrs. Massen; committee, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Borich, Mrs. Farley, Mrs. Hunter, Mrs. Powdri 11, Mrs. Matthews, Mrs. Littlejohn, and Mrs. Twcntyman; delegates to tho provincial executive, Mrs. Stamton and Mrs. Wilson. Tho retiring president, Mrs. Annandale, presided. It was stated that tho finances of the branch wore in a satisfactory condition, and that donations had been made to the housekeeping fund and tho community chest. Afternoon tea was served by the outgoing committee. Piopio. —There was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting at which Mrs. Battlcy presided. Regret was expressed at the absence of Mrs. C. K. Wilson. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs. Cullen; vice-presidents, Mrs. Coyle, Mrs. Verrv and Mrs. Voyce; secretary, Mrs. A. H. Morris; treasurer, Mrs. B. Tebbutt; advisory committee, Mrs. Cullen and Mrs. Jackson; committee, Mrs. C. Johnston, Mrs. J. Brown, Mrs. F. Cocking, Mrs. Hodson, Mrs. O'Connor. Mrs. Parkes, Mrs. Carrel, Mrs. N. Ronaldson, Mrs. V. B. Smith and Mrs. Furniss; delegate to the annual conference, Mrs. A. H. Morris; delegates to the provincial executive, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. F. Cocking.
