VICTORIA LEAGUE
YOUNG CONTINGENT MORNING TEA PARTY PRESENTATIONS MADE A pleasant morning tea party was held by the Victoria League Young Contingent in the league rooms yesterday. The guests were received by the president, Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, who presented the guests of honour, Mrs. Mackay and Miss Ruby Hardley, with bridal cookery books. A presentation was also made to Miss Ruby Coleman in appreciation of the work sho had done for the Young Contingent.
A programme arranged by Miss Ela Hutchison comprised items by Mrs. Reginald Reed, who played pianoforto solos, Mrs. R. Humphries, who sang, and Miss Doreen Saunders, who recited.
Tho hostesses were:—Miss Lola Marks, Miss Joan Boardman, Miss Grace McFlinn, Miss Valerie Lennard, Miss Jessica Baxter, Miss Althea Morley, Miss Margaret Parkinson. Tho guests included: —Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, Mrs. 11. Coleman, Mrs. Hardley, Mrs. R'. Humphries, Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. G. Erne Adams, Mrs. Gould, Mrs. Mackay, Mrs. R. Reed, Miss Freda Warnock, Miss Winnie Tippetts, Miss Mavis McCullough. Miss Beatrice Lowe, Miss Marjorie Brett, Miss Ruby Coleman, Miss Doreen Saunders, Miss Ruby Hardley, Miss Helen Overton, Miss Elsie Thompson.
