BACON PIG CHAMPIONSHIP [from our own correspondent] "WHANGAREI, Friday Arrangements are well advanced for the Whangarei Winter Show, which is to be held from Tuesday, June 27, to Saturday, July 1. The dog show, nhich will be conducted by the Northland Kennel Club, in conjunction with the show committee, will be held on the first two days, while the poultry «how will take place on the last two days. Instead of being held on the last two days, as in the previous year, the Jlowcrs and pot plant exhibition will take place on tho Tuesday and Wednesday. Now that the national bacon pig championship has been placed on a Dominion-wide footing, this section of the show will be larger than previous years, as there will be 170 carcases, as compared with the previous record hum her of just under 100. These carcases as ill come Irom all paits of New Zealand, and the display will bo the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
