Morrell, reported to a meeting of tho Otago University Council to-day that the New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, had forwarded a list of 10 candidates for the lectureship in biochemistry. Tho High Commissioner had also reported that 19 applications had been recoived for the Chair of Medicine and nino for the Lady King Scholarship, and that recommendations regarding the applications were still to be forwarded..
