A NEW SUFFOLK
federal line motor-ship BUILDING ON THE CLYDE One of the well-known names in New Zealand shipping will bo perpetuated when tho Federal Line's new motorship is launched with the name of Suffolk. Of 11,000 tons gross, the Suffolk will bo similar to the motor-ships Essex and Sussex, tho most recent additions to the Federal Company's fleet. She is being constructed on the Clyde by John Brown and Company and Alexander Stephen and Sons. Tho name Suffolk is a tradition 80 years old in the Federal Lino, ships bearing it having been identified with tho Now Zealand trade for a considerable period. In order that it might be again used after a period of years the owners of a small English coastal vessel bearing tho same name have requested permission from tho Board of Trade to rename their ship, allowing the Federal Company, to use Suffolk,
