She is being constructed on the Clyde by John Brown and Company and Alexander Stephen and Sons. Tho name Suffolk is a tradition 80 years old in the Federal Lino, ships bearing it having been identified with tho Now Zealand trade for a considerable period. In order that it might be again used after a period of years the owners of a small English coastal vessel bearing tho same name have requested permission from tho Board of Trade to rename their ship, allowing the Federal Company, to use Suffolk,
