BUYERS CAUTIOUS
FRANKTON STOCK SALE [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday The urgent need for rain in the Waikato was reflected to-day in the attitude of farmers at the weekly stock sale at Frankton. Bidding was very slow for most lines of cattle, and there was a comparatively small bench of sheep buyers. Several farmers stated that, although there was a fair amount of feed in some areas, the greater part of the Waikato was becoming parched. Slight rain fell early last week, but the benefit derived from the showers had been lost owing to the heat of the past few days.
