BEGINNING THE DAY
(Supplied b.v the Council of Christian Congregations.) Text.—Put on the whole armour cf God that ye may be able stand against the wiles of the devil. For we not against flesb and blood, but against the rulers of the darkness of tins world, against spiritual wickedness :in high places. Ephesians 6: 11-12,. Verse.— Fight the good fight With all thy might. Christ is thy strength and Christ thy right. Lay hold on Hfe and it shall be Thy joy and crown eternally. Prayer.—o Lord Thou art very great and we are frail creatures beset by many evils 100 strong for our resistance'. We need Thee every hour. Doliver us from our own weaknesses, of flesh and blood. Shield us from all ,th? powers of darkness by the inward light of Thy spirit. Keep, us from ail wickedness and make us move than conquerors through Him that loved us and gave Himself for us.
