AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS

AUCKLAND TRAINING COURSE A special course of raid raid precaution training for members of the Red Cross Society was held at the ■week-end in the premises oiE the Returned Soldiers' Association. The hall was filled to capacity and the students were enthusiastic. Tlio training was similar to that giiven to the Eed Cross voluntary aid detachments in England. The instructor was Mr. G. T. Paterson, chairman oi; the Auckland centre, who has had considerable experience in training in tliis subject- Mr. Patersoon took- an intense four weeks' course in England recently. Specimen bottles of war gases were passed round in order that the members might acquaint themselves with them. A vote of thanks wag passed to Mr. Paterson.
