ARMY NURSING SISTERS
AFTERNOON TEA PARTY A few members of the Auckland Returned Army Nursing Sisters' Association met in the John Court tea rooms yesterday afternoon in honour of four special guests, all of whom were nursing sisters during the war period. They were the Misses C. and J. Walker, of Napier, who have just returned from a trip to England; Miss T. Butler, matron of the Rarotonga Hospital, who is spending her leave in New Zealand; and Miss C. Cherry, a member of the Auckland association, Mvho recently returned from a visit to England and the Continent. The president, Mrs. P. J. North, welcomed the four guests and presented each with a floral tribute. The afternoon passed pleasantly in conversation and the exchange of experiences and reminiscences. Those present were:—Mrs. R. Jamieson, Mrs. F. C. Webster, Mrs. A. M. Clarke, Miss A. Bagley, Miss K. Wright, Miss E. A. Grant, Miss J. N. Teape and Miss A. Hammon.
