PORT OF AUCKLAND MONTEREY THIS MORNING The Matson liner Monterey will arrive this morning from San Francisco, via ports, and will berth at Prince s Wharf about 7.15. She will sail for Sydney and Melbourne at five o'clock this afternoon. The liner has 152 passengers for Auckland, about 210 will embark hero and 378 aro through travellers.

The Nobel Explosives Company's auxiliary ketch Miro arrived from Lyttelton last evening and berthed at Kings Wharf. Expected to leave Wellington for Auckland' to-day, the Union Company s steamer Waipiata is due hero on Monday morning. The Government lighthouse steamer Matai will arrive from the coast this afternoon and berth at King's Wharf, remaining in port until Tuesday.

THE 'TAINUrS VOYAGE The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company has received advice from its liner Tainui, en route from Wellington to Southampton, that she cleared Pitcairn Island at 1.30 p.m. on Sunday. All on board were well. MATUA LEAVES SUVA The Union Company's passenger motorship Matua left Suva at 10 o'clock yesterday morning for Auckland, where she is expected early on Sunday afternoon. Slie is expected to sail on Monday for Wellington. THE DORIC STAR Cabled advice has been received by the Blue Star Lino that its steamer Doric Star left Lourenco Marques on Tuesday in ballast for New Zealand. She is due on the coast about March 12 to begin homeward loading. RIMUTAKA'S' ALL WELL Wireless advice received yesterday from the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rimutaka, which left Auckland for London, via Panama, on Saturday, stated that the weather has been very good and that all were well. THE EDWARD F. JOHNSON The British motor-tanker Edward F. Johnson is reported to have left San Francisco early this week with petrol for discharge to the Vacuum Oil Company at Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin. She is due here about March 6. THORSHOV WITH FUEL OIL The Union Company's chartered tanker Thorshov left Sumatra on Sunday with bulk fuel oil for Wellington, where she is due on March 3. After discharge she will leave for San Pedro to load a further fnel oil cargo for Wellington. PROGRESS OF PORT HALIFAX , Tho M.A.N.Z. Line has received cabled advice that its motor-ship Port Halifax left Halifax on February 10 and Louisbnrg on February 13 for Auckland, where she is expected about March 13, Wellington, Lytte) ton, Dunedin and Bluff. IMPERIAL ESCORT VESSELS Tho Imperial escort vessel Leith, after a week's stay in port, will leave the Devonport Naval Base this afternoon for Russell, where she has a rendezvous with the escort vessel Wellington. Both warships will leave Russell on Sunday for Sydney.

THE LINER AWATEA Thfr- Union Company's transtasman liner Awatea will sail from Sydney this afternoon for Wellington, where she wi'l arrive on Monday morning, and Auckland, where she is duo on Wednesday morning. The liner will leave Auckland at 5 p.m. on Wednesday direct for Sydney. FORRESBANK TO DOCK The Bank Line steamer Forresbank, under charter to the British Phosphate Commission, will return to Auckland about February 27 after completing discharge of phosphate from Nauru Island at New Plymouth and Wanganui. Sho will enter Calliope Dock for cleaning and painting and later sail for Nauru Island.
