MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS

The Hon. W. Nash, Minister of Finance, arrived from Wellington bv train yesterday morning. He inspected customs _ and internal marketing facilities in Auckland, and addressed a luncheon meeting of the New Zealand Institute of Business Executives. 3lr. Nash visited the Naval Base at Devonport in the afternoon, and also inspected the progress made with facilities on the site for the Tasman air service terminal. A large number of private interviews has been arranged for today. Mr. Nash, who is at the Station Hotel, will leave on his return to Wellington by the limited express to-night. - The Hon. It. Semple, Minister of Public Works, arrived from the South by the limited express yesterday morning. After hearing deputations he visited Glen Eden in the afternoon to receive a deputation from the Glen Eden Town Board. He later visited the Itoyal New Zealand Air Force base at Hobsonville and the new military aerodrome works at Whenuapai. A tour of North Auckland will he commenced by the Minister to-day, when he will leave for Whangarei. He will visit the aero* - drome there this afternoon and tomorrow will continue to Kawakawa. After an extensive tour of the North , he will arrive back, at Auckland .on,'; Saturday, February 25. ,

The Hon. P. C. Webb, Minister of Labour, received a number* of deputations on labour matters yesterday, and in the evening attended a conference of representatives of employers, irorkers and business and industrial 'organisa-

tions called to consider the possibility

of forming an industrial advisory council at Auckland. The Minister will be occupied to-day in hearing further deputations and next week he will spend some, time visiting factories.
