MINISTER WELCOMED
FUNCTION AT ST. DAVID'S DR. AND MRS. R. C. GILLIE A cordial welcome was extended at St. David's Presbyterian Church Hall last evening to the Rev. Dr. It. C. Gillio and Mrs. Gillie, of London. Dr. Gillio has recently como to supply tho pulpit of St. David's during: the absence abroad of the Rev. W. Bower Black. A* large gathering of the congregation was presided over bv the interim-moderator, the Rev. G. 'Budd. The appreciation and friendship of the congregation were expressed to Dr. and Mrs. Gillie by the session-clerk, Mr Fleming, the president of the Women's Missionary Union, Mrs. N \ Campbell, and Mr. K. Havdon," on behalf of the youth organisations. Both guests of the evening returned thanks for the kindly reception gix-en them and expressed their pleasure at being in this country. Dr. Gillie stressed the importance of cultivated fellowship with those inside and outside the Church. A number of musical items were enjoyed.
