| NEW ZEALAND BOXER FIRSTROUND KNOCKOUT MAURICE STRICKLAND'S WIN (Received February 14, 11.20 p.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 14 The New Zealand boxer Maurice Strickland, in a bout at Newark, New Jersey, knocked out Frank Donofrio (12st. 111b,), of Philadelphia, in 2m 35s in the first round of a scheduled 10round fight. A left to the chin sent Donofrio down for the count of nine, and then a right to the jaw ended the fight.
