COUNTRY STOCK SALES

FRANKTON QUOTATIONS FAT LAMBS SELL WELL DEMAND FOR STORE PIGS [t'noji ouh own cmutK.sroxnK.vr] HAMILTON, Tuesday A largo yarding of fat slioep came forward at tlie weekly stock sale held at Frankton to-day. There was a good bench of buyers and competition throughout was fair. Prices differed little from those of Inst week's sale. Fat lambs also came forward in good numbers and heavy prime sorts sold well. Light and inferior lines, however, eased slightly in value.

Prices for calves remained very firm, there being: a smaller yarding than usual. There was keen competition for a small entry of ox beef, and values remained at last week's rates. A medium entry of both cow and heifer beef also sold at improved values, while a full offering of boner cows and heifers met with a ready sale. Fat pigs were yarded in medium numbers, competition for baconcrs being very keen. Porkers were slightly easier of sale, but a medium entry of store and wcaner pigs met with a keen inquiry.
