TRAINING CAMP FOOD

Sir, —f wish to draw attention to the inferior food which is being served to our boys who are undergoing a period of training at the North Shore forts. Unaccustomed as these hoys are to the strenuous training they are undergoing at present, why undermine their health unnecessarily by putting them on practically wartime rations. Time enough surely when the need arises. As these boys are the ones who will be called upon to defend us should need arise, a good constitution will be their greatest asset. They also have jobs to go back to and are responsible to keep themselves in health for this. At the moment they seem to be spending all their spare cash —filling up from the canteen. Ax Objector.
