"IT'S IN THE AIR"
GAY COMEDY FOR REGENT Few screen players have had such a rapid rise to fame as Georgo Formby, who will be seen once again in the bright English comedy, "It's in the Air," to commence a season at the Regent Theatre 011 Friday. This is his seventh production in the last five years and each successive film lias brought him increased popularity. "It's in the Air" is a series of fantastic sequences through which Formby makes his way, turning the most innocent of actions into hilarious and delightful fun. He appearsvas a young man handicapped by a complete inability 'to distinguish his right hand from liiis left, who is determined to secure a position in which he will wear a uniform. He borrows a uniform and, as lie is admiring himself in a mirror, discovers a letter addressed to Royal Air Force headquarters in one of his pockets. As the owner of the uniform is a despatch rider, Formby decides to deliver it and is mistaken for the airman. At the headquarters, he rapidly becomes involved in a series of complicated adventures and the film is brought to a brilliant climax when ho finds himself in an 1111piloted aeroplane which is out of control. This scene has rarely been surpassed in either American or English comedies. Formby is supported by an accomplished cast, 1 which includes Garry Marsh, Polly Ward, Danier Warren and Hal Gordon.
