MAORI CHILDREN'S VISIT

INSPECTION OF LINER A visit to the liner Awatea before she sailed for Sydney yesterday was an outstanding feature of the day's entertainment for the party of 45 Maori children from Ncrth Auckland who are on holiday in the city. The children performed a liaka for the benefit of the master of the liner, Captain A. 11. Davey. Later they were taken for a motor-drive to Mount Eden and the Mangere aerodrome. Separate entertainments have been arranged to-day for the boys and girls. The girls will visit a clothing factory and later will be shown over the Karitane Hospital. The boys will visit a glass works and a meat works.
