DEATH OF SCIENTIST
PROFESSOR HENRY BALFOUR (Received February 30, 6.15 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 10 The death lias occurred of Professor Henry Balfour, the noted ethnologist and archaeologist, and curator of the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford, since 1891.
Professor Henry Balfour was born in 18(53, and educated at Charterhouse and Oxford. He was president of the Royal Geographical Society and for 25 years was president of the anthropological section, of the British Association. He was also an office-bearer'or member of numerous other scientific bodies and published many papers on his chosen subjects.
