Broun—Feron. —The engagement is announced between Florence Emma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Feron, of Avonside, Christchurch, and Walter Joseph, son of Mrs. Annie Broun, of Wellington, and the late Mr. Charles Broun.

Brown—Wood.—Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Wood, of 9th Avenue, Tauranga, announce the engagement of their elder daughter Erica Constance, and Ronald Carlton Vivian, youngest sou of Mrs. V. Brown and the late Mr. J. A. Brown, late of Waihi.

Cummins—Tunks. —The engagement is announced and tho marriage will take place shortly in Efigland between Norman Cummins, of Malaya, and Katheleen Howard, fourth daughter of Mr. C. J. Tunks, of Auckland. Meredith—Groves.—The engagement is announced between Joyce May. eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Groves, of Orini, Taupiri. and Thomas Guv, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. PI G. Meredith, of Katikati.

Miller—Woods.—Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Woods, of Mount Albert, announce the engagement of their younger daughter, Vera Miriam, to Rainsford Riches (Ray) only son of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Miller, of Mount Albert. Shaw —Eyre.—The engagement is announced between Dulcie Jean, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. I. Eyre, of Clovedon, and Maurice Daniel, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Shaw, of Clevcdon.

Stranaghan—McDowell. The engagement is announced between Ramah Wvatt, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. W. S. McDowell. Grey Lynn, Auckland, and Thomas Joseph, youngest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. H. S. Stranaghan, Taumarunui, late of Kohu Kohu, Hokianga. Weston—Harbutt.—The engagement is announced between Barry, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Harbutt, Cambridge, and Joseph Thomas, only son of Mr, and Mrs. J. Weston, Stratford, Taranaki.
