TAURANGA FIRE BOARD

[BY TETiEORAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] TAURANGA, Friday At the quarterly meeting of the Tauranga Fire Board the secretary and treasurer, Mr. .T. E. Ward, who is leaving to reside in Auckland, tendered his resignation. The board recorded its appreciation of Mr. Ward's services, and appointed Mr. T. Wvlie to fill tho vacancy. The superintendent, Mr. A. Stewart, reported that during the past quarter tho total fire loss was only £22. Tho hoard decided to rnafte a. contribution toward the expenses of a team of five men who will take part in the fire brigades' demonstration at Warganui next month.
