AUDACIOUS THEFT
MONEY TAKEN FROM TILL [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] GISBORNE, Friday A complaint that a customer took £4 from the till of a Gisborne cafe while the front of . the shop was unattended has been made to the police by the propriotor, Mr. Dominio Moleta. Mr. Moleta said that he took a small order from a man lor fish and chips and left the front of the shop, where the till was placed, unattended whilo lie went into tho kitchen to have the order prepared. , . , . . Whilo he was in tho kitchen his attention to tho front of the shop was called by a customer having a meal in tho dining room. Mr. Moleta rushed out of the kitchen but tho man in the front of the shop had made good Ins escape and was nowhere to be seen by the time Mr. Moleta reached the street. The till was open and £4 had been taken.
