Gilmore took three wickets for 50 runs, Cheetham three for 60 and Hynes three for 57.

New South Wales in the second innings scored 217 runs (Barnes 48, Solomon 49). Scott took five wickets for 46 runs and Fleetwood-Smith three for 83. In the first innings New South Wales had been dismissed for 120.
