Mrs. J. Allen, of Remuera, is spending a holiday at Takapuna. Mrs. J. M. Carpenter, of Remuera Road, will leave to-day for Taupo. Miss S. Preece, 'who has been visiting Auckland, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. J. Stanton, of Mountain Road, Epsom, is spending a holiday at Deep Creek. Mrs. H. Hecht (Melbourne) and Mrs. H. J. Wiley (Wellington) are at* the Grand Hotel. Mrs. M. J. Moodabe returned to Auckland yesterday morning from a visit to the south. Miss Joyce Johnson, of Great South Road, who has been spending a holiday at Takapuna, has returned home.

Mrs. C. P. Major arrived from England last week by the Tamaroa and is at present at Hotel Curg'n.

Miss Phyllis Farmer, of Otorobanga, arrives by the Wanganella to-day after a six weeks' holiday with her sister in Sydney.

Miss Barbara MacDiarmid. who has been spending the past year abroad, will return to Auckland by the Waneanella to-day. .

Mrs. Cullen Finlayson has returned to Whangarei after spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs. S. Lewis, at Narrow Xeck.
