CENTENNIAL SPORTS
CASH MEETING AGREED UPON [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] BLENHEIM, Monday The bi-annual conference of the New Zealand Athletic, Cycling and Axemen's Union was held at Blenheim over the week-end, when delegates from all branches were present. A large number of remits regarding revision of rules was dealt with. It was resolved to arrange a championship cash sports meeting in conjunction with the centennial celebrations, and to apply to participate in the profits from the proposed sports art union. Mr. A. J. Fisher, of Blenheim, was elected a life-member of the union. The election of officers resulted as follows:- —President, Mr. H. H. Frasor (Timarii); vice-presidents, Messrs. A. J. Fisher (Blenheim), J. T. Qualter (Gore). W. J. Walter (Christchmvh), ,T. Collingwood (Wanganui), (J. Church (Gisborne), G. E. Perkins (Greymouth), D. George (Now Plymouth), J. Coffey (Christehurch), G. R. Cook (Waiptikurau); secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. D. Macartney (Napier).
