AMBULANCE CONTESTS

AUCKLAND DIVISIONS SHIELD AND CUP EVENTS [from OCR own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday The competitions of the several St. John Ambulance divisions in the province were held in Hamilton to-day. The events were to have been held in conjunction with the Hamilton Rowing Club's regatta, but ns this was postponed owing to unfavourable weather they were held in St. Peter's Hall. The competitions were in the charge of District Superintendent H. D. Cobbe, District Officer E. A. Houston and Corps Superintendent C. Marshall. Following are the results: Hague Cup (nix entrants). —Thames Ambulance Division (A. J. Roberts), 67 points, 1; Frankton .Railway Ambulance Division (F. Wright), 50, 'J; Thames Ambulance Division (C. Clarke). 15, 3. Judges: Divisional Superintendents I'. T. Glanville (Cambridge) and P. J. Hosking (Thames). Cadet Shield (four entrants). —Paeroa, 103 points, 1; Frankton Railway, !»8, 2; Kowhai (Auckland), HO, 3; Onehunga, 78, 4. Judges: Divisional Superintendents W. J. Green (Rotorua) and W. Griffiths (Cambridg^). South Auckland Cup (four entrants).' — Frankton Railway Ambulance, i) 7 points, 1; Otahuhu Railway, 88, •_!■ Thames, 7G, 3; Cambridge, 74%. 4. Judges: Dr. W. R. Fea and Divisional Superintendent W. McDonagh. Hamilton Cup.—Frankton Railway Ambulance Division, 81 points. 1; Thames. 65, 2; Cambridge. 57, 3. Judges: Corps Superintendent C. Marshall and Divisional Superintendent P. T. Glanville. Taniwha Shield (six entrants) Onehunga Nursing Division, BHM, points, 3; Cambridge, 87/4, Frankton Railway Ambulance, 81 I ,a, 3. Judges: Corps Officer H. W. Thompson (Onehunga) and Divisional Superintendent P. J. Hosking (Thames). The finalists were judged by Corps Surgeon Dr. E. C. Brewis and Divisional Surgeon Dr. W. R.
