WILL MAHONEY SEASON

NOTED REVUE COMEDIAN At matinee and evening performances to-morrow J. C. Williamson Theatres will present Frank Neil's International Revue. Company, headed by the noted American, stage and screen star, Mr. Will Mahoney, in the spectacular revue extravaganza "Why Be Serious." A feature of this Christmas attraction is the fact that it is refreshinely wholesome. Unusual interest attaches to the first appearance of Mr. Mahoney. He shared the honours with Mr. Will Fyffe in the successful screen play "Said O'Reilly to McNab," and djiring his successful season in London, where his engagement was extended from three weeks to close on five years, he was commanded to present his performance before the King and Queen. Mr. Mahoney is sa'id to be a natural comedian, and a brilliantly clever eccentric dancer. Associated yith Mr. Mahoney is ft very strong company. The artists include Miss Evie Hayes, whose singing ol' popular songs made her a firm favourite with London audiences. Miss Hayes is a noted New York radio singer. Although she is a' very little person,. Miss Violet Carlson, the popular comedienne of the "Balalaika" company, is full of talent, and it is said that she is even greater in revue than in musical comedy, In "Why Be Serious"- she will present several of her comedy Features which helped her to fame in America. Among other artists the comuany includes Lawrence Brooks, American tenor; Whitey Roberts, American dancing juggler; Tex Morton, the cowboy yodejLlor; tfohnny Bryant, America's whistling artist; Jimae, Ripley's man of mystery; Bob. Geraghty, New York's popular entertainer; Bruce Carroll (light comedian); Dorrie Ricketts (soubrette); and Tim Blackmail (dancer). There is an attractive ballot and Australian mannequins.
